Solving News: Andrey Selivanov tops the International Solving Contest in Fujairah with a perfect score!
In what was a striking case of experience trumping youth, 56-year-old Andrey Selivanov of Russia topped the leaderboard of the 20th International Solving Contest (ISC) here in Fujairah, besting his young compatriots, including the reigning World Champion in solving, Danila Pavlov, and the 17-year-old wunderkind and star in the making, Ural Khasanov. Andrey, who holds Grandmaster titles both in solving and composing, scored a perfect 60 out of 60 to dominate the rest of the field, while Danila and Ural finished second and third, respectively.
